Trauma-Informed Online Counselling

For adults, caregivers and those impacted by trauma, violence, loss or chronic stress

Life can become overwhelming after trauma, grief or prolonged stress. You may feel exhausted, emotionally numb, anxious or unsure how to move forward ... especially when you’ve been strong for others for a long time.

I offer trauma-informed online counselling for adults, parents and caregivers ... and first responders who need a safe, compassionate space to process, stabilise and heal.

Online sessions allow you to access support from the privacy of your own space, at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your boundaries.

My Approach

I am a registered counsellor with a background in family counselling, pastoral counselling and specialised training in trauma-informed care. My work is grounded in years of supporting individuals and families affected by violence, abuse, grief and crisis ... including work alongside police services and community response teams.

My approach is:

• Grounded in emotional safety and regulation

• Respectful of your pace and lived experience

Counselling with me is not about “fixing” you. It is about helping you feel steadier, understood and supported as you make sense of what you’ve been through.

Who I Work With

I currently offer online counselling to:

• Adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, stress, burnout or trauma-related difficulties

• Parents and caregivers supporting children affected by trauma or loss

• Trauma survivors seeking emotional stabilisation and ongoing support

• First responders coping with repeated exposure to trauma, violence, or critical incidents

Please note: I do not offer online counselling directly to children or crisis intervention for immediate safety concerns.

What Online Counselling Can Help With

Online counselling may support you to:

• Process grief, loss, or traumatic experiences

• Develop grounding and emotional regulation skills

• Reduce anxiety, low mood, and emotional overwhelm

• Strengthen coping strategies and resilience

• Feel less alone in what you’re carrying

Sessions are confidential, structured, and focused on creating a sense of emotional safety.

How Online Sessions Work

• Sessions are held via a secure online video platform

• Appointments are booked and paid for online

• You will receive clear consent and confidentiality information before we begin

• Sessions are typically 40 minutes

A stable internet connection and a private space are recommended.

Important Information

Online counselling is NOT suitable for:

• Acute mental health crises

• Situations involving immediate danger or unsafe environments

• Emergency intervention
